Grandparent Names....

I've always really liked the idea of each grandparent having their own "name." My nephew's have different names for each of their grandparents and it makes it easy to know who they are talking to or about.

What will your LO's be calling their grandparents? I need some ideas!

our daughter is 18months, so shes jusssst starting to actually call people by their names. my mom is mimi, and FIs parents are grammy and poppy, but she calls him poppa, so it may change in time if she doesnt get her "y" sound down!

a few of my friends kids' call their granparents: gigi, nanny, nana, granddude (wierd, i know!) and poppop

My boys named their grandparents

FI's parents are Grampa & Glasses Nannie (she wears glasses!)

My mom & Step-dad are Bus Nanny & Grandad (they took them on a bus one!) He used to be 'Gar' - I have no idea why, but that's what they called him!!

My dad is Motorbike Grandad (he has 3 motorbikes and Harley stuff all over his house)

DH is Greek so my MIL is YiaYia and if FIL was still alive he would be Papou (hopefully some of the older greek men in the community will also be his "papou" as well).

My mom wanted Grammy but now Grandma and I call my step-dad Grandpa Jim.

I have a feeling that G will be naming my mom and step-dad, haha :)  I think it's cute when they do that.

My friend's use Chicky, Momma G and Poppa G (kid's choice), Blue Nanny and Red Nanny and then your typical Nana / Grandma.

My parents are Filipino (Ilocano) so LO will call them Amang (GF) and Inang (GM). DH is Chinese so for his parents they will be called MaMa and Yeye.
