At my 20wk appt and anatomy scan yesterday I was told the placenta is very low and that it should move up as the uterus expands, but they will check again between 28-32 weeks. Its not covering the cervix, so its not placenta previa... Of course now that I've googled it, I'm a little worried. I had a caesarian 18 months ago and I guess this is more common after that.
Also, the doc told me he didn't think I needed to do the glucose screen this time around because it wasn't an issue last time... anyone else ever been told that?
The doctors office is now doing an internal exam at 20 weeks to measure the length of the cervix to check for signs of preterm labor. That's new too. I totally wasn't prepared to have to drop my pants. lol
