Not so proud of myself....

Cause I couldn't resist and bought two cute onsies and a pajamas for baby B. this morning...Oupsss...

I seriously have to stay away from the mall for the next couple of months...there are too many beautiful baby things in there for me to resist buying everything.... We're still pretty early into this pregnancy and if I keep buying everything I fall in love with, I'll be broke in no time...:S

How did you resist ladies?

Haha! Pavez - I cant resist. I TOTALLY purchased multiple Aden+Anais swaddles... I imagine myself building quite the collection before this baby is even named. Do NOT go on shopstyle.com nursery section... Just dont... :)

Try to resist as much as possible!! It was hard but I haven't purcahsed anything for baby and we have been given so many clothes I doubt she'll be able to wear them all. I'd be kicking myself if I too had purchased a bunch of clothes for her.

I haven't bought clothes but every time I see a resgitry item on sale, I just pick it up and delete it off my registry.  Can't help myself!

My suggestion is to books, Toys that are brightly colored and large-stuffed animals. Things that will last into their younger years. This is where I spent my money.

I bought a first edition of Make way for Ducklings $75 at a used bookseller, Good Nightmoon etc. Things that I could keep for them and now they have given those books to their cousins and if they have kids they will get them back.

Here is my reasoning (And I know the temptation).

I was brought up that you did not buy anything until the 7th month. We have all suffered MC's so I am glad I did wait. I was 16 weeks when I lost one of mine and had I bought anything it would have been harder.

But once 7 months came around I only bought 3 of each of the layette items.

Then I jumped to 3-6 and 9month sized clothes. My oldest was born and wore size 3 months on the way home. He was 21.5 inches long and 8.5 lbs 3 weeks early. He would have gone to 11 lbs.

My second 2 were premies and still wore size 3-6 months at about a month and a half old.

I used old fashioned cloth diapers with my middle child and I used the velcro all in one cloth diapers for my youngest.

Andrew (oldest) was the only one who wore pampers, as I could nbot do laundry easily at the flat we had.

I know the small clothes are cute, but my friend had, so much the babies never wore and she had twins it all went to goodwill. Great for goodwill not good for her pocketbook.

I hope this helps :-)

I must be a terrible mom, because I haven't bought a single thing for our LO yet. haha  My mom and MIL keep dropping off random stuff here and there and we got some clothes at Christmas.  I think after my shower on the 16th I'll end up getting stuff we need that we didn't get then but I just haven't got into the whole buying stuff.  Am I weird? haha

I haven't bought anything either. It is so hard, though! Especially when I see good sales...I really want to take advantage. One thing that makes it easier is that I don't know yet whether we are having a boy or a girl. I have a feeling once we find out next month, we will start buying more stuff.

I have only bought one outfit! All my money has been going to his room or the big stuff we need! :)

Just from my small shower at home with my family- we have tons of clothes- so wait on clothes! Books are a good idea- but I asked as part of my shower here in okc- to have everyone bring a book to get a prize or something like that. Id just wait until u have your shower- then go buck wild!!

It's really hard to resist the urge especially when I see awesome deals going on but MIL insists that I not spend money yet until after my shower. Which is officially set for the end of June. OYE! I know I'll have to buy a few things once we find out the gender.

I don't think I bought anything for Ash until I knew she was a girl and then I would buy stuff when I saw a good deal. This time around I have been so busy I didn't buy anything until I was like 30 weeks pregnant. Poor kid. I am 35 weeks now and we JUST placed our big amazon order. But when I started buying for this one I just bought everything we needed since I am not have a shower - only a small lunch with friends and I figured I would just be getting cute clothes from them (which I love!)
