Pain in my tailbone this early?

I'm 11 weeks now and I've been having pain in my tailbone. It started while walking around in Target on Monday night. It felt like it needed to pop but it wouldn't so it started hurting every step I took. The next day it felt fine, but last night, I sang in the choir at Disneyland and stayed a while after so the night was filled with a lot of standing and walking so of course it started hurting again and this morning it just hurts to walk :( Has anyone else experienced this so early on? And if there are any exercises or yoga poses I can do to relieve it or if I should go to the chiropractor? Lol I just don't get what could be causing it so early.

I had a tailbone injury right before I got pregnant the first time and it hurt a ton towards the end of my first trimester and beginning of the second trimester. It actually started hurting again this time too. I would really recommend going to see a chiropractor - especially if you have ever had an injury in that area. Apparently your tailbone is connected in a bunch of different ways to your uterus and helps to keep your uterus in alignment so if your tailbone is curved or out of whack then it can mess a lot of things up when it comes to labor. Its probably not a big deal at all, but I would definitely have it checked out. Maya abdominal massage is also good for alignment and could help with pain. Pelvic tilts or cat-cow poses are also good. Hope it feels better soon!

I've never had an injury there but my spine has been out of alignment for years so that totally makes sense that they could be connected! Just this week, I've been starting to show a little more and that's when the pain started so I'm sure that's the case. I'll have to go back to the chiropractor and try those poses. Thanks so much!

I have it! It started ~12 weeks my hips and back started bothering me and now worse. It really takes a toll on me because I need to pack for the move coming up. I mentioned to the ob months ago about not being able to sleep on my side but that was the only thing bothering me early on. I had an appt yesterday and mentioned  about my hips and back hurting making it bothersome for me to sit for a period of time. She told me that all of this pain is related to the sciatic nerve and only going to get worse as the preg and baby progress. She told me that I can take some aspirin but I really want to limit how much meds I have to take now.

i had bad sciatic and butt pain early on!  i attributed it to my muscles stretching and making room, it went away on it's on after a few weeks.  in the meantime, the heating pad is your best friend!
