Birthing classes

While at my 24w checkup I saw signs all over about scheduling a class between 18 and 20 weeks. Woops, I missed that boat!

So I called today and got some more info. It's not too late to sign up (phew)!

Soooo we're debating the boot camp one day all day course or the 5 week/2hours per week course. We'll probably just do the one day class.

Are any of you doing classes? We debated not doing it, but I found out some insurances cover all or some of it. I called and they cover most of it. So we might as well right?!

Yep, we signed up through our hospital. They sent us a packet with a bunch of different classes they offer, and we chose: the all day birthing class (DH wasn't interested in going to 3 evening classes), the hospital tour (we had to pay $30 for this one which stunk, but they say it's more than just the tour so we'll see), taking car of mommy and newborn (I'm embarassed to admit I've never changed a baby diaper before, and I'm also totally scared of what's going to be going on downstairs after birth), an intro to breastfeeding course, and a managing family finances course. The childbirth class is scheduled for 3/15, so I'll be sure to check back in a let you know how it goes!

Ohhh sounds like so much info! I wasn't feeling very overwhelmed until recently. I made that phone call and sort of got hit with a "holy crap this is real life" moment. Lol!

I think most of those topics are covered in our one day all day course. I'm supposed to get a call back today with more info. The woman who usually handles it was out yesterday so I was just sort of briefed.

Good luck and definitely keep us updated!
