Food Question?!

We are planning a wedding 3 days after Christmas, because all of our family has to travel anyway so we are just going make it one big weekend :)

Question though. What kind of food should we have? I originally planned or thought about having a turkey/ham/roast beef carving station with traditional Christmas comfort foods, but with it being sooo close to Christmas I everyone will already have had a Christmas meal. So what kind of food should we serve? Any suggestions would be great! (Our venue pretty much has any item you can imagine).

I wish I could say switch it up and serve lots of fresh fruit and seafood, things really light and crisp - the total opposite of a Christmas meal. However, December is winter time and those foods are't available. :[ I say just stick to your idea of comfort, winter food. I know I always look forward to fall and winter just because of the food alone, I know I wouldn't get sick of it :]

PS. Also! Because witner food is a lot more filling, you'll probably have to order a lot less food to feed the same aount of people, which means a smaller catering bill!

Good luck <3
