FI & I met at a bookstore, so it's fitting for us :) Does anyone have any similar ideas/links to book centerpieces?
OH... I love it. I wish I would have thought of that... It's gives a very vintage feel and you could pick up old books at Flea markets and thirft stores for almost nothing. I would have to say this is a excellent idea. http://100layercake.com/blog/
I love that idea! We almost did it before we went for board games instead. You can get books at thrift stores, and if you have a Kirkland's near you, they also have neat boxes that look like books that you could use for other decorations.
cute. that's incredibly original.
Thanks ladies, I'm so glad you like the idea! :))
I am! I made a few mock-up centerpieces using items we got at the flea market; each centerpiece will end up costing us $10 or less! I used fake flowers just to get an idea of what they might look like with florals. They're definitely still in the brainstorming stages, so I'm excited for our next flea market trip so I can come up with some better ideas! I hope these help somewhat!

foxyja: Thank you! I love all the links you posted :)
@KCollette: Thanks!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with too!
What a unique and lovely idea! love it!
I am such a book nerd that these would be perfect for us as long as I could find a way to add some computer stuff for my DH aka the computer geek.
I am totally doing this at my vintage style wedding. I'm using old romance novels of my grandmothers.
I think it's a great idea!
I think my FI and I are going to incorporate a literary theme with our wedding, so this will be perfect for centerpieces.
Wow this is an amazing idea! My FI and I are both really big bookies so this would be another great and affordable option for a centerpiece. Currently we are looking a ways to incorporate coffee into the theme.
