Budget Savvy Brides: $5K and Under

What's Cookin'?

I checked out the catering thread and all, and decided that my sister along with another friend of ours can cook for this wedding if we choose that site that allows that.

But what are good meals to cook

We are thinking Salmon and some type of chickem?

What type of chicken?

What types of sides?

Salad?

etc?

Thanks in advance!

My mom's cousin is catering for us.  She used to own her own catering company, so we are very fortunate.

Are going over MANY options, we decided on a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings.  Everyone loves a turkey dinner!  Our original ideas just seemed too mismatched... it was hard to pick items that actually went together.  We didn't want it to feel like a pot luck.

We are doing a variety of pies for dessert.

Thanks Wonderwoman! I think Chicken Marsala with a veggie will be sufficient enough.

That sounds yummy :)  I think keeping it simple and yummy is going to be best! :)

This is going to be a huge budget saver for us!  Yay us :)

Any thoughts on your cake yet?
