Gor the dresses...but

OK, I received my two dresses. They are wonderful, very good quality, they fit very well, I was very happy and excited. I decided that I like one better than the other, but...

it has that terrible smell!!!

I went to the dry cleaner and the lady said the problem is not the fabirc, but the wire used in the structure, and that the only way to remove the smell is changing the wires...that means to make the dress again!

The dress is perfect, I love it, but I can´t smell like fish in my wedding, really, the smell is unbearable.

I read befores that is a problem sometimes, but how can I solve it??

I sent a complaint to dressilyme, but I have the feeling they will say that is not their problem.

The other dress doesn´t have that smell.

Any suggestion?

Article after article suggests that it is the insecticides used when shipping to ensure that insects are not imported with the dress...I've never heard anything about the smell coming from the boning in the dress, that seems really bizzare to me! Get a second opinion? try fabreeze?

Its great that your dresses are beautiful though! I really hope you can sort this out without too much hassle :)

I read that also, so now what I´m thinking is that maybe the breast padding absorbed the insecticide and that is why its concentrates all the smell.

Maybe febrezee in the padding area can work...

Ekk! I would put it in a garmet bag with a bunch of dryer sheets..and those new fabric softener crystals they sell in the laundry aisle. The smell really really good and fresh...not too over  powering..
