I think I'm taking the Dressilyme Custom Plunge - Advice Please

Ok so I want a knockoff of a Maggie Sottero Autumn Royale. I haven't been able to find a store that allows pictures so will the pictures off the maggie website be detailed enough? (I'm ok with it not being spot on exact as long as it's the same cut and style) It's not really a complicated dress at all no beading just ruching so I don't think it'll be that dificult. I like the wrapped waist (or whatever it's called) and the material gathering from the side but I think that's all pretty evident from the pictures. I'd be pissed if they didn't give me a corset.

I thikn you girls can probably tell me what the boning is like in your dresses?

What do you think? I have no budget and REALLY don't want to give my money to Davids Bridal (that's my only other option) and the maggie dress was the only dress I felt remotely bridal in sooo . . .

Opinions and advice on comunicating my necessities with them please?!

I would first check and see if the dress is already on their site. Post pics her and we can help you look. If it is not send them an inquiry from their website with your pics (they let you upload pics to your inquiry) and also make sure to state your wishes for the corset back. They are very customer service friendly and are quick to answer questions. I have always got a 24-48 hour turnaround in response time.

i think this dress is not really a problem to make for them. mine was made with 2 dresses, from a watters dress the upper part and from a priscilla of boston the skirt. My dress also have a ruched bodice and its made really good! You just tell them you want some boning and breastbads und you get it. I have a strong boning in it and i can wear my dress without a bra! So i think they would make this dress easily.

I also think they can make this dress without a problem. It's very pretty, too!

Good luck!

bride1986 your dress didn't look like it was too "shiny" what material did you use? They suggested teffeta but I have no idea if there would be something better to use?
