My BM Dress Story - Anyone else order theirs in pink?

Wanted to share my experience with you all.

I got my custom-made bridesmaid dresses from DRESSILY ME in 3 weeks!  Customer service was great, as I wanted to add in a veil (albeit with a faint fishy smell). Meanwhile I'm still waiting from my wedding dress from Milly (argh!).

I ordered the one-shoulder dress as it matches the style of my gown:

The BM dresses look and wear fine, based on me trying on my sister's who is similar built; they feel well constructed. However, my qualm is the color I selected ("deep magenta") is WAY off from the picture of the "actual dress color" on their website. I was hoping for sangria, but instead got what looks like "magenta dye" or "dark pink".  So, my word of advice to girls is beware!  This affects my entire color scheme (purple, gold, and orange... and well, now pink).  Just sent the below to Tina; so far, she's been very nice and responsive. I guess we'll see what she says.

Has anyone else ordered a shade of pink BM dress?  How close is it to this shade?

They are way off with their coloring.  E.C., the color on the right is clearing a really rich purple/pink(magenta) and the dress you received on the hanger is a very vibrant pink like fuschia.

I agree with 2011bride....it's clearly not the colour you ordered.  Have you heard anything back from Tina?  She's dealing with my order of seven BM dresses.  I explicitly asked for lime green and she emailed a colour fabric swatch which was as close as I could get.  I am praying they come in the same colour as the swatch - they were shipped yesterday.

How long until your wedding?  Tina has been great so hopefully she can resolve this in time for your wedding.

I wouldn't accept that. They can call it what they want, but it's not what you ordered. That's completely unacceptable.

Just a quick update to you all -- their post-sales rep got in touch with me and attributed the difference in color expectations to the fact that chiffon was used, and the color I selected was based off of satin (also as seen in the David's Bridal mini shot I have on the righthand corner).  Frankly, I'm not sure how I or anyone else buying from DRESSILYME is supposed to know that the "actual color samples" are for satin fabrics only, and that the dress as listed on the site was made out of chiffon and that there would be a color change in fabrics.

This is the photo that they say their quality control took before they shipped it (compare it to the photo I took above).  I tried to take the above photo in different lights, and I couldn't recreate it myself.  I'll let you judge for yourselves!

I have to say they have been very courteous and super customer friendly, but at this point, I'm on the fence as to sticking with what I have given everything else going on in my life right now & all the events leading up to the wedding vs. going through this whole process again overseeing color changes.  But I wanted to at least share the fact that you should a) always ask what fabric your dress is made of, b) ask to see the actual color of the fabric if it is not of satin.
