Thinking or ordering.....

I have been in love with Maggie Sottero's Beth dress for two years.  When the time came for me to actually go out and buy this dress I was devestated to learn that she had discontinued it.  I have searched high and low for it for months and finally decided to look into replicas so I could have the look I wanted.  After reading all the reviews I have read and pictures I have decided to give Dressilyme a shot.  Before I took the plunge I was wanting to know if anyone had ordered this particular dress and if they had pictures of it. I saw were one of the reviews on their site stated the lace on the waist didn't come down as far as it should, that is a huge deal to me because I don't think the dress would appeal to me as much if the waist wasn't the same.

hi! :)

a beautiful dress! i think its not that easy for dressilyme to make the black lace exactly like the original, the original has tiny beadings on it and it seems a "thicker" lace than usually. if you still wanna try it, ask dressilyme wheter they made the dress before and have some pics of it so you can see it and also ask for some photos of black lace (not samples, you have to see the whole piece) so you can see how it would look like on the dress. if this is not possible i wouldn`t go with dressilyme because you were disappointed especially when you know the original dress.

what size do you need? there are some second hand dresses around the web.. have you tried this?

here are some china replicas of the dress:

the second one is not that bad but if you exactly want the same you were still disappointed.

and here i found this on the dressilyme review site about the dress:

the second review has a email adress left of the customer, you may ask her for a picture of her dress.

I'm thinking I will need around a size 6.  I have looked at resale sites and all I have found is a 0-4 or a 12 or larger.  I emailed the girl that left a review for pictures of her dress to see what it turns out like.  I know it will not be exactly like the original and the materials used will be cheaper.  My biggest fear is that the waist wont come down far enough or be remotely close to having the point in the back.

Hi,

This is a lovely dress. I just wanted to add that if you are mostly worried about the length of the waist, you should be able to give them a measurement of where you want it to come to, i.e a shoulder to waist measurement.
