Wedding Speeches Tips
- Do some digging: Ask friends and family for extra insights and anecdotes. They will give you new ideas and ensure you’re providing a speech relevant to your whole audience.
- Avoid rambling: There is no ‘perfect’ shape or style for a speech. You may want to take a thematic or chronological approach. But the key is brevity. Stay away from long paragraphs in favour of short, punchy, deliverable sentences.
- Practise makes perfect: Rehearse it out loud over and over again, reading very slowly and emphasising key words. You want to know your speech so well that you only need to glance at your notes to remember what comes next.
