Hello ladies. I am wondering if anyone here has had any experience with DH having a varicocele? Essentially, it is a varicose vein in the testicle which may or may not affect sperm count (depending on who you ask). DH has one, is 31, and has LSP. Based on his range, it is expected that we have <25% chance of conceving naturally. His Dr. did not seem to think surgery would make a difference due to his age and when I looked it up online, it seems that Drs. typically disagree about the effectiveness of such treatment (regardless of age). I have been off BC for almost two years now, but didn't really start actively trying until about 5 months ago. As a student (graduating in May), I have terrible insurance and ZERO coverage for any alternative methods - which is why we have not tried anything like that yet. So I am wondering if anyone else's DH has this issue or if they have had surgery to correct.
Just feeling really down today (and AF showed up today to make it worse). I have SIL's baby shower in two weeks and I know people will be badgering me about having my own so I am already filling with dread. DH is calling another urologist today for second opinion, but anything you ladies can add would be much appreciated.
