Our weekly thread for this week!!!
Haven't been here in a little bit. So what's going on the life of Tressy? Well I am looking forward to going on vacation. I really need it! We are going to make our annual weekend trip to Ohio for the jazz festival and then off to visit with DH family in August. Not sure if everyone knows, but I was diagnosed with Lupus and I am working daily on incoporating all the changes this disease causes in my life. It has been a challenge not only for me, but for DH as well, but I have learned to take it moment to moment. I have started crocheting again and it has brought me so much joy! I started revamping my facebook page and hope to add some of my new things I created soon on it.
I wish all of you ladies a great week!
Hey ladies! I hope we can get this group going strong again :) I have been slacking as well.
Tressy, I hope you have an amazing vacation! You deserve it! Glad you're taking things day by day and learning to live with Lupus and keep all that joy you have.
Not much is going on with me really. Just doing work and school. Having no time for my condo again. Boo. Accounting is hard :( I'm only on week 3....7 more to go after tonight. Ugh. Can't believe the summer is flying by though. I wish I had more to contribute, but not a lot right now. Have a nice rest of the week ladies.
Whats new? Well, its huge. Turns out..IM PREGGO!! I just found out on monday and Im still overwhelmed!
@Elise - I know that sucks not being able to enjoy your condo! I called off from my second job today. The humidity is getting to me terribly so I am going home to relax and enjoy the cable I pay for or catch up on some movies! Keep at the accounting Elise!
@IJ - Congratulations! Just let it all seek in and we are going to have fun coming up with some crocheting projects for you!
@Tressy: Crochetting, lol!!! I really should sharpen my skills now if I want to meet up with my earlier on target of making my baby's christening outfit, right?
Hey ladies!!!!! It's been suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a long time since I've been coming on PW, especially on this group and on the main boards!
@Tressy: I don't know lupus much, but I really do hope all your efforts will make you feel better. Does this impact a lot on your daily activities? I'm sure all your crocheting is AMAZING. I'd really like to see some pictures of it when you'll have time.
@Elise: I feel you about not enjoying the condo. DH & I bought our house 3 years ago (already!!!) and it's the first summer will be able to enjoy it. I'm not kidding...there are still some windows with no blinds or curtains!!!
@Nenyibabs: Congrats on your BFP!!! Hope you'll join us in the 2013 baby bumps group!
AFM: There have been so much going on since the last time I've come. Don't know what to say or not, hehe! I can't believe I'm already 32 weeks pregnant with an amazing baby boy!We set our mind on Gabriel or Loïc for his name...we'll make our final choice when we'll see him (only 8 weeks left ahhhhh!). We're so excited and preparing the home for is arrival. So far, this pregnancy has been a charm!
Also, DH quit his job back in december (probably already told you that) and we're so glad cause the company he left is in big trouble. There is actually a big investigation in the construction industry right now in Qc and this compagny is very touch by it. The government just decided they won't give any more contract to them for the next 8 years so they're firing a bunch of people (actually, they might have to close and this is an international company!!) so there's a lot of chance DH would have lost his job if he'd stay. He like is new job very much so everything turns out find for us. And as of today, he's on summer vacations for 3 weeks, yay!!
On my side, I've been pretty busy with school, fellowship and my thesis all winter and spring. I finished classes (definitly!!) back in may, my fellowship at the end of june, so there's just my thesis left. But I start my maternity leave on August 1rst so now I'm just trying to put my thing in order for when I'll left. Can't wait since DH we'll also be able to have a PAID paternity leave of 6 months starting on september 15th (my due date). This is a once in a lifetime chance and we're so glad we'll be able to have all this time together, enjoying family life!
Finally, we celebrated our 1st anniversary last week. Can't believe it's been already a year since our wedding. Kind of made me nostalgic since we had SUCH an amazing day and I know it won't ever happen again but I'm so glad I'm married to this man. We didn't do anything special since it's becoming a bit harder for me to travel or anything. We're planning on going in a nice inn, having a fancy dinner and going to the casino next december after LO has arrived to properly celebrate. Sure my parents or my step-parents will be more than happy to babysat.
So this is it...sorry for this long post! I'll surely try to come more often!
