Good morning to our amazing married ladies!!! Here's our weekly thread!
I'll start! lol
This week is going to start a crazy next few months for us. I hope I'm going to be able to keep up. DH is going to be DJ'ing at a club on Friday and Saturday nights (YAY) with his cousin and hopefully it will be a productive venture. Most definitely will be helping with our finances though and I'm looking forward to seeing what we come up with regarding club night themes, etc.
Besides PW, work has been keeping me on my toes and I squeezed in some time to crochet two baby blankets for my niece and a very dear friend, and I just started on a University of Miami colors afghan for another one of my nieces, as she is on their rowing team. It is going to be a surprise, but I am hoping to finish it up this week, as I am not very good at keeping surprises. LOL.
We are supposed to be getting a winter storm tonight into tomorrow, so not looking forward to that. I'm definitely ready for spring, but that doesn't look like it is coming in the near future. I am going to start tackling decluttering and organizing this week, because I want to be prepared for when we are able to start the renovations that are on our "would love to do" list this year.
Other than that, not too much else is going on.
Good luck on the organizing! I love that stuff! lol. If only we all had more time for that :) And that's awesome for your DH and his DJ'ing!!
This week is pretty low key for us. Just work for me, and a couple clients on the side for some extra money. DH is still looking for a job, but he has been helping out my uncle with some landscaping for a little extra cash. MIL & FIL's birthday is this weekend so we will be celebrating that!
I wish I had more to update, but I don't. I finished my first class of my MBA so that's exciting! I have two weeks off and then start my next class in April. The first went well so I think I'll do fine. Have a great week ladies!
@Becca: Good luck with all the organising. Sounds a bit stressful, but exciting too! I'm sure your niece will love the surprise :-)I hope the winterstorm was not too bad???
@Elise: Good luck to your DH, keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!
Nothing special on my side. Work is going good, not so stressful this week that I enjoy. My belly is growing and I'm feeling good. Yesterday evening when I was laying on the couch I think I felt the baby moving ;-) I'm only 17w5d, but they say that you are able to feel the baby earlier in your 2nd pregnancy. We decided to keep the gender a surprise, but I have to admit, I'm so so curious and sometimes I would like to know.
We are also desperately waiting for spring time and warmer temperatures over here. But the cold came back and we had some snowflakes this morning... Easter is very early this year and I really hope that within a week it will get a bit warmer and friendlier outside.
The last couple of weeks I tried to be a "good" DIL, as my MIL is not doing so good. She has health issues and I'm really sorry for it. But she's always so negative and all she talks about is how bad she's feeling etc. and she's telling me details I just don't want to know. As you might remember from previous posts, me and my MIL are not best friends, as she is a very dominant kind of person and she puts her nose in everything that's none of her business (in our life), and also we had some really bad issues in February. But as she was then feeling really bad, I thought I'd be tolerant and see her bit more often. I think she also learned her lesson and I have to admit she was nicer to me the last couple of weeks. Anyway, they will now go on a holiday for 2 weeks soon and after that we will be going, so I'm glad to not see her as much the next month or so. This sounds a bit mean, but now I need some distance again.
Sorry, this was a bit long, I needed to get it out :-) thanks for listening!
Enjoy the few extra weeks without your MIL. Don't feel bad about that. Glad things are going a little better now, but enjoy your time alone :)
Organizing is going slowly, but with my work schedule I am not going to put too much pressure on myself.
I agree with Elise about not feeling bad about enjoying your time away from MIL. I hope your weather starts to get better too - it stinks having this cold all the time, especially when last year we were already in the 60s.
Thanks girls! I knew you'd understand.
Today is a strange day. Fabrice is really in a bad mood, he doesn't want to eat, he doesn't want to sleep and he is stressing me out to the max... I acutally was fully motivated to start getting organised with the cleaning up of our office / spare room, where we want to make some space for our new LO in August. But I guess I have to postpone this project. Except if Fabrice will sleep a bit now...
