Here's this week's thread lovely ladies!!!
Good evening ladies - I'm trying to get back into work mode today after having a wonderful weekend away with hubby. We went to Buffalo, where I was born, and did all of these touristy things Saturday and Sunday morning, and then in the afternoon yesterday, we went to my niece's baby shower. It was so nice seeing them and just to have some quiet time with DH.
Getting back into work mode today has proved to be a little bit of a downer. LOL. We have a crazy busy schedule this week and honestly, I would not have it any other way. I think I found a new breath of excitement for our home and our somewhat nontraditional way of working. I guess I needed this little mini-getaway more than I thought. Here a few pics.
Day we got to hotel. (I tried so hard to find out where they got those three leaf pictures from - LOL).
Us at Niagara Falls (American Side)
Lockport, NY (DH put the camera on a chair to take our pic)
Me at my Mom's grave - which is a big reason we went to Buffalo.
Thanks for sharing your pics with us Becca!! I'm glad you enjoyed your getaway--people need those for sure :)
This week is back to normal for me. Just looking forward to the 3 day weekend coming up! DH actually has it off too, so I think we're going to try to do a little day trip somewhere! I'll have to update this thread when we decide what we're going to do!
I made homemade oreos today. It's a friend's bday on Thursday and we have this inside joke about homemade cookies vs. oreos, so I'm giving him the best of both worlds. Haha. They're delicious. it's hard to get a thick frosting though...
Hopefully I'll get a lot of PW time this week!! No paper due this weekend (even though I should start my next one early, I think I'll take a break. heh) so just work and relax! That's a nice feeling. Besides the dirty condo lingering in the background...I'll prob get to that Friday. Boring week.
@Becca: I'm glad you had such a great time in Buffalo! Thanks for sharing pics!
@Elise: Wow, homemade oreos! I bet they're a thousand times better than the originals :-)
I have an easy week. Yesterday was a holiday over here, so it was a long, relaxing weekend. Today I'm working, but tomorrow I'm off as my mom is not here to look after LO, so I took the day off. I will meet up with a friend who has a daughter at the same age as Fabrice. But as the weather is (still) so bad, we probably wont go outside and meet up either at ours or at their place. Other than that, nothing special this week.I'm feeling huge and the baby is moving a lot :-)
And I long for the warm weather! Where is the summer this year?!
Thanks ladies!! We did have fun and it was a much needed mini-getaway.
Elise - are the homemade oreos difficult to make? Those sound amazing and also fun to make. I love day trips - they are fun! Hope you enjoy your 3-day weekend and get to have your PW time this week as well.
Olivia - Glad to hear that you will have an easy week too! That makes things so much better. How are you feeling? Our weather cannot decide what it wants to do either. Yesterday and today it is supposed to be hot and then tomorrow through Monday or Tuesday, cool with storms. I bet you are getting excited about the new baby and I can't wait to see him or her!!!
I can post the oreos recipe -it is easy!! :)
yeah,a day trip is wonderful..
I went out for dinner with my friend, who would head for another city,we chatted for a long time until I realized it was too late to go home...I was extremely tired, and returned in the wee hours..
