Yoga Detox

Yoga Detox Day 2 6/14/11 (6/13/11-6-19/11) 


As soon as you hear detox diet, you might think, eat nothing for days on end, and drink some lame mix of maple syrup and pepper. This diet is not like it at all.


It’s all about bringing your body back to a more natural balance. Throughout the whole diet you can eat as many fruits, prepared anyway and as much as you like. The first 2 days you eat a breakfast, which would be something like organic yogurt with fruit, then lunch and dinner, which would consist of a whole grain and a protein serving, and as many veggies/salad you might like. keep in mind that seasoning shouldn’t be non-existent, but you are consciously choosing oils or herbs that are fresh and natural.


Day 3,4, and 5 you are limited to just fruits, and by ‘limited’ i mean you can eat around 2000 different things. So try out those fruits that you never heard of, make a tomato and avocado salad (because they ARE fruits!). And drink as much herbal tea as your heart desires. Then back to the same as day 1 and 2 for day 6 and 7.


It’s suggested that you make sure to get 7-9 hours sleep a night and plan on either doing yoga, or exercising everyday, you will be surprised how much energy natural food has on your system.

I'm currently on DAY 2


Yesterday I ate organic yogurt and fruit for breakfast. Salad and salmon for lunch. Haddock and whole grain couscous and spinach for dinner. I snacked on berries, grapes and other yummy fruits. No yoga or workout


Today so far...breakfast organic yogurt and fruit again for lunch I have leftover haddock couscous and spinach...same for dinner except I'll have salmon instead of haddock. Then whatever fruits =) TOnight I'll be taking a Birkrim yoga class.


Tomorrow starts fruit day!

Day 3-5 


Currently I'm on Day 5 and honestly I haven't been hungry once. I just eat fruit whenever I want. For lunches instead of eating a sweet fruit I opt in for something else. Today I had hand an avacado and one tomato. Yesterday I had Avacado and a banana. For dinner I try to do the same. Yesterday I chopped tomatos and black olives then grilled them! I was in the mood for something warm and that did it..it was deliscious! Tonight I'm going to have baked butternut squash. The first night I steamed zucchini and squash. Thats right all of that is FRUIT!


I weighed myself this morning and I'm down three pounds.


I know that after this I'll gain some back but for me this isnt about the weight loss. Its about cleansing my body and starting fresh. Giving my body a new outlook on how to eat. Zoning in on my cravings and focusing on eating in order to nurish my body instead of eating junk.


I would say the things I'm craving...soda and oddly some Ritz crackers! I'm not a tea person so I've only been drinking water. I keep forgetting to pick up juice. And I don't know about the other craving except I want the sweet buttery carbs of delicious RITZ crackers lol.


B-pics are in one month. After this is over I plan on dieting strict for 3 weeks then starting this the week before b-pics....that way I'm at my super skinniest before then!
