Can anyone recommend some good bakeries in LA? I am looking for a cake that's going to taste great and fresh, but not be over the top expensive.
I loved my cake... She was reasonably priced too... Jaqki's Cake Creations. http://www.projectwedding.com/vendor/show/jaqki-s-cake-creations
I'm getting Sprinkles red velvet cupcakes at $36 per dozen and we're going to get a small red velvet cake from Susie Cakes in Brentwood so we have something to cut.
I bought my BF's cake and it was absolutely AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS at Torrance Bakery! They have two locations and are just great to work with!
You are going to LOVE Sweet and Saucy Shop! They do incredible work and are reasonably priced. I absolutely love them and wish I could tell all Brides to use them!
Thank you all so much, these are great options for me to start the cake hunt.
Portos, that's where i plan to get mine..... they are freaking delicious and cheap!
Rockwells in Orange is our cake place. Beautiful and soooo yummy! But not in LA.
Independent baker, natural ingredients, not too sweet, reasonably priced... easy to work with. Check her out.
Update to my cake search:
We went with La Creme Bakery in Woodland Hills, CA. Their marble cake with cookies and cream filling is to-die-for! And, Berta the owner is the sweetest lady in the world.
Here is our inspiration, but the gray stripes will be a pearly shimmery white tone (and no dots either, my fiance is not a fan on dots/buttons on cakes). And our florist will add flowers:
Try Portos in Glendale or Tropicana Bakery in Downey. I love their cuban style cake. It is a moist cake soaked in Rum. Yum!
Try Rockwell's creative cakes in downtown Orange!
