piano player for ceremony?

Is anyone using a pianist for their ceremony?  I think I need to get rid of the guy I hired and find someone new :(

Also, how much are you paying for your ceremony musicians?

thanks everyone!

I have an amazing guy, who used to play at the Hotel Del Coronado! I don't have his card on me, but will get it for you ASAP! He is the nicest man, not too expensive and brilliant!

Check with the local community college music department.  They will either give you a teacher, their accompanist, or a very talented student to contact who is looking for exposure.

And they will be guaranteed to do a good job if you get them the music, tell them how it speaks to you and provide them with an example of your favorite rendition of the songs you want.

And they won't charge you extra just because it is a wedding.  Students would be greatful for anything.  Some would do it for free just to list you as a reference.

We're having a local "youth" orchestra (4 teens) play at the ceremony... couple hundred dollar donation to their program.

Donations are a great idea since you will be able to write some of the expenses. I love a solo guitarist during ceremony, and a jazz trio at cocktail hour. I know a very professional musician. This is his site http://www.jasonsulkin.com/ and he is very reasonable, call him and tell him Yasmine from A Regal Affair sent you and he will take good care of you.
