pink and brown vs. pink and red

Which is better? I know my ladies will look hot in an espresso brown, but red will stand out so beautifully in the open (outdoor wedding). I'm really torn between the two and would REALLY appreciate some commenting!! thanks much, ladies!! And yes, JASON BOURNE is EXTREMELY HOT. especially when he's jumping from building to building through windows. Zig-a-zig yah.

I think pink with ivory and a warmer, darker red like burgundy would look really nice together.

Gosh, that's a tough one. Pink and brown is classic, but lately I love pink and red too. What color bouquets and flowers are you having?

It depends on the type of wedding you want. Pink and Brown, to me is a sort of a modern combination. For a cake I think of a fondant, monograms, polka dots, stripes. It should have a finished look.

Pink and Red is a more romantic combination, you think of love and lust. I think of outdoor spaces. For a cake I think of pink smooth butter cream and fresh red poppies, peonies or roses. You could always pick a darker shad of red, like a black cherry red for your bridesmaids?.

It's up to you, where is the wedding? What type of feel are you going for?

I'm having the ceremony @ Castaway in Burbank - you know that outdoor area that faces the mountains and/or valleys (I don't know that area too well), and hopefully, weather permitting, it will be very green and blue by March. I'm afraid that the dark brown will actually take away from the "bright and light" feeling I want for the ceremony. But then again the red may be too much. The boy wants brown and pink, but I just don't know. I'm thinking about incorporating all three colors. Is that too much? I haven't decided yet about the flowers, OR my dress, OR my bridesmaid's dresses. ahha, I can't make up my mind about anything until I have the color scheme down. It's driving me crazy!! Thanks everyone for your feedback though, I really appreciate it! =D And can I just say that I think its awesome that we can just blog about our wedding problems, you all are the greatest!! And each and everyone of you is the most beautiful (to-be) bride I've ever seen! =D

There are so many possibilities -- It all depends on the shades that you pick. Saturated and bright for a fun, modern feel, and more muted and toned down for a more classic or romantic feel. Or one more saturated than the other, so they play off one another. You can also play with the design accents (stripes, solid color blocks, dots) and proportion of pink to red... the possibilities are endless! I'm sure you'll find a combination that reflects you and the mood you want for your wedding. Have fun!

If you added brown as an accent you may be able to get away with using all three colors. I would add the brown by using pretty twigs or dried out vines, natural materials. This would help to tie in the natural environment, mountain-scapes and so forth. Think about using white birch or thin mossy logs in your centerpieces as well as flowers. Perhaps the logs could act as stands to put the flower arrangements on.
