Ring question for ceremony...

Hi... this is one of those silly wedding things that i feel like i should somehow know but... does the bride wear her engagement ring to the ceremony? or is this also put on her finger by the groom? now that i'm writing this, it would seem to make sense that he only puts the wedding ring on me at the ceremony but...

I'm going to wear it on my right ring finger. Then swap it back to the left after the ceremony is over.

I wore my e-ring on my right ring finger, and as soon as the ceremony was over, I just moved it to my left ring finger. I had been to one wedding where they put on both e-ring and wedding rings. But traditionally they only do the wedding ring in the ceremony.

I meant to wear my e-ring on my right finger but I forgot. During the ceremony, I switched it as soon as I realized it (it was before the ring exchange so no one noticed).

Knottie MrsPresley used it in the Ring Exchange part of her ceremony (I C+P this from her bio):

We incorporated the engagement ring into the ceremony. I wore it on my left hand as I walked down the aisle (it won?t fit on my right hand anyway). I then discreetly removed the ring and handed it to my MOH when I handed my bouquet over to her. After the wedding band had been placed on my finger during the ring exchange, we had the minister say this:

"The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Please place your engagement ring on Jaime?s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage."

Another option to consider...

I plan to wear my e-ring on my right hand and then put it on my left after the ceremony is over. The wedding band should go inside because it's closer to your heart. =)

Thanks for asking Tahoegirl and thanks for answering everyone. I'm down to less than a week and I really needed to know.
