Wedding party gifts?

Hey ladies, I have some time, but have been trying to think of something original to give my bridesmaids. I have thought about getting them all lockets, but then that isnt that original. So, what did you give your bridesmaids, or do you have any suggestions?

I bought my bridesmaids their dress, but I feel like I should get them something else too. I may make them a piece of art, seeing as how I am an artist. I know not everyone can do this, but I thought it would be nice for them to have something that?s one of a kind and came from my heart.....It could also be worth millions one day lol.

Seriously though, why not get them something hand made. I know of a great crafters website called ETSY. There is TONS of stuff to choose from. Original pieces of art, handmade jewelry, sewn monster dolls, handmade journals and scrapbooks, really cute handmade bags, you name it.

Since I mentioned it, they have handmade invitations, cake toppers and other wedding things too.

Good Luck =o)

I got them fuzzy slippers (all matching) and Coach wristlets/mini-bags that fit their lifestyle or personality. I may get some sarongs too.

Because my four girls are all picking their own dresses and I probably won't see the dresses until the wedding, buying their jewelry was out of the question.

I found four dupioni silk covered photo boxes at Aaron Bros back in January (post-xmas sale, only $3 total!) and I've been slowly filling them with small gifts. They will all receive a pashmina shawl and a monogramed travel jewelry case. I plan to add some sort of bath or foot pampering products too. FMIL got each of them a pearl bracelet when she was in China. (they don't have to wear it at the wedding)

Basically, as I find cool items that they might like, I pick them up and put them in the boxes. I still plan to add more as the weeks progress.

I will also be paying for all of them to get their hair done on the day of the wedding.

Good luck!

I did buy my MOH and flowergirls their dresses and shoes. For their bridal party gift, I went with purchasing Tiffany necklaces that they wore on the day of. I think it is sentimental because they are necklaces that they can wear for any occasion in the future. It may not be very original, but sentimental.

I have no idea what I'm getting them either! I just try to think of something that I would want... SpaFinder.com is a cool way to give a spa gift certificate. Etsy is a cool website too, but my girls would be too hard to shop for.

I've gotten a little goodie bag that had like bath crystals, notepad, a mini bottle of passion fruit rum, and some other things. The guys got a clear beer stein and one of those Heiniken keg cans.

It doesn't have to be very much, just something nice and memorable. If there is a 'Things Remembered' store by you, maybe just get something nice engraved with the wedding details? Or gift cards? Movie tickets? Lotto scratchers? Purses? Shoes? Bath and Body stuff? Books?

Ok ok, sorry, I'm throwing everything out there! If you have a theme, maybe something along those lines - that way it can be practical and memorable.

FI and I are paying for BMs and GMs outfit for the wedding. So I wasn't really thinking of getting them anything. I was just sort of thinking taking them to get pedi/mani.

If you want something really nice and affordable you can get them fresh water pearls.
