1st RE Appt - What to Expect?

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has had an RE appointment :) Is there anything I should bring (other than my husband LOL) or anything I should be prepared for?? Thank you ladies :)

What cycle day are you currently on? I know a few women where the Dr. actually went ahead and did an U/S on the first visit because it was the right time and instead of having to wait another month. I was mid cycle when I went so he just talked about all of the tests we were going to do then have another consult after to go over the results and go from there to see what our best option was. First, I went and had blood work done, then back to the office for CD3 testing which was an internal U/S to look at my ovaries etc. then had the HSG because I think it had to be done from CD3 - CD10 (I think). We went back for the follow up and he gave us all of our options based on our tests. DH had already had an SA.

Thank you both :) @October - I am currently CD6. My appointment is set for next tuesday when I'll be CD11. Should I be prepared for an internal u/s?? Or just blood work? Will they normally do an SA with DH that day?? I'm trying to relax and not stress out too much about it... but it's easier said than done. :/

If you were CD3, I'd say there's a chance they may go ahead and do one but since you will be mid cycle probably not. I know how scary it is...I was a nervous wreck...but this is one step closer to getting your baby! They sent me to a lab for infectious disease blood work...it was a whole list of things...DH had to get the BW done too. Then we just had to wait for certain cycle days to do the rest of the testing. Oh, they also had us meet with the financial counselor during our first visit who told us what was covered by insurance and what our responsibility would be. I know it's so frustrating that you have to take this step but just keep thinking of the ladies from here who went and were successfull with the help of an RE!! Thinking of you!
