BBT QUESTION :)

Just curious....this morning(7DPO), I woke up 55 minutes later than my normal waking time (My alarm never went off!!) and my temperature was 98.54*.......Do I subtract .1 or .2 degrees from that temperature?? What's the rule of thumb? :/ .........TIA!

I'm not sure what the official rule of thumb is, but I usually leave mine alone if it's an hour either way from my usual wake up time. FF will chart your dot with an open circle so that you know it wasn't your usual time. It should still be able to see your shift even if that one temp is a bit high. HTH.

Happy Friday:)

I agree with littlebit. I work nights so I never wake up at the same time. I just chart my temp at whatever time I wake up. My charts are a little erratic but I can still see a deffinate thermal shift

Interesting...I have read that you substract .1 degrees for every half and hour you wake up later...and vice versa (+ .1 wake up for every 30 minutes earlier). I'll just leave my temp alone then. :)

Thanks ladies!! :)

I think it's one of those things that you can if you want to, but looking at the big picture of your chart it doesn't really matter all that much:)

Mine doesn't change even if I get up at 3 am to pee and go back to bed for a couple of hours. I've temped at both times and never had it be different. I know that some people's bodies are more sensitive than others, but FF will still be able to judge the discrepancy.

I know you're not supposed to be bluff your temps, and I really don't (once I think).  But I have learned that like clockwork my temp (in Celsius) goes up 0.10C for every hour of sleep.  I've tested this many times and it's always the case.  So I'm completely opposite Claire.  I only get nervous about inaccurate temps when I'm waiting to O or are waiting for that temp drop notifying me of AF.  Otherwise, I don't stress discrepancies.
