Charting Interpretation Question

Hi sorry I'm so needy, but I'm reading the theory and want to run it past more experienced chart interpreters :-)

First off, I've been off BCP since Feb 1st, and after 28 days it deleted my red lines and changed when it started counting my cycle.  I'm guessing that's because I haven't recorded an AF.

My temps appear to be quite high for the last 8 days (I've been temping consistently).  As in above the baseline it previously showed me.  As in the highest I've registered during my 34 days of temping (I've been on BCP for 34 days too). The high temps mean pregnancy, right?  Or no?  The Fri/Sat ones that are showing as open circles were temped about 30-60 minutes later than I usually temp.

I POAS yesterday (the First Response lines one) and there was no second line.  Not even faint.  I'm just trying to understand my chart and my newly off BCP body.  I'm really thinking I'm not because we're still using protection.  Plus I don't think I O.  I guess I'm being cautious because the temps are higher, and I do hear that you're "super fertile" within a couple months of going off.  Thanks!

Im sorry I cant help...Your chart is a bit wacky. I think your body is trying to adjust to no BCP.

Are you tempting Vaginally? If not they say you should if your chart is all over

Yeah it's wacky and I've wondered if it's an adjustment too.

I'm temping orally.  I'll check on that to see if there would be a benefit to changing.

@ Murph - I can't remember where it put my O date ... after Valentine's day I think, but it seemed to also be shifting my O date later and later at one point.

I just feel confused, because I get O and all that.  But I've also heard women can be super fertile in the first couple months off BCP, and I'm wondering how that happens if a lot of women also take a few months to get AF back.  Still learning :-\  I also feel like not the best judge with CM so I've been pretty irregular at actually recording what I *think* it is.

I just found this chart I posted here a week and a bit ago.  My baseline was about 36.44C and I've been above that average for 8 days now.  I'll keep waiting ~ thanks for the help & info ladies!

@ Murph I remember you also said the dip on Feb 20th could have been implantation.  I hovered around my baseline for a few days after that, took a dip Feb 26th (CD 23), then temps rose and have stayed elevated.  The last few days I've been waking up waiting for a lower temp, thinking it's got to drop sometime.

I temped this morning, at the same time I have since Monday (3:30am) and I was only 0.02C up this morning from yesterday's.  For such a wacky chart I am just boggled as to why it is so consistent now!  And on the higher temperature end.  Thanks Murph :-)

I also re-read some of TCOYF last night in the bath (fell asleep twice and dropped a corner of the book into the water - eek!) and it looks like temps can stay steadily high after ovulation ... and then if you aren't PG it drops and AF comes.  Is my understanding right?

Before I went on BCP I had irregular and violent AF's (which is initially why I went on BCP) and so I'm scared I'll end up with amenorrhea ... so if I did ovulate I'd be so happy, because that means an AF will probably come.

Today's chart with the 4 super steady temps:

If I had to guess?  I'd say you O'd on the 26th....I'd put your cover line at 36.60 and say you are at 9 dpo.  That is the only place I see a significant-enough shift that also consistently shows temps high enough.....now, this is just a guess....but I do see a pattern there.....

I'd bet that Murph is right, that FF doesn't have enough data from previous cycles to be sure - I had that happen like my second or 3rd month in.

And yes, once your temps are consistently above the coverline, you are likely pregnant if you have 18 days of high temps.  Your temp will usually drop the day before or the day AF arrives, but sometimes mine stays up for a day or two after I've started bleeding and I know other girls have experienced that, too.

FX! =)

Thanks Claire!  At this point I'm just hoping I ovulate ... it's really all I can ask for after being on BCP for years.  So whether it is AF or PG I'll be happy, so I'll keep my FX for me that I don't end up waiting forever for AF.  Thanks!

I didnt Ovulate on my first month off of BCP. I stopped BCP's in October (where I started temping to get into a routine), temped all through November, got a +OPK in November, but never quite Ovulated (according to FF). December I conceived & it was my first actaul "O" off of BCP.

But I agree if you did O this month, it looks like you did on CD26 since that was a significant temp change & temps are remaining higher... You should put in a falsie AF day starting today & see what the chart says.

Thanks CheekyMar!  It's good hearing other's experiences and interesting stories (like the "never quite O" thing).  It's technically been a bit more than a month for me so we'll see.  It's all a waiting game!

It was totally annoying, so I feel your frustration! I am hoping that your temps stay high & you got a surprise "O" next to your surprise "BFP" :)

Here is my wacky chart from November. The ghost line showed up only after AF started on CD33:

At this point?  I would not want AF to show up for 4 or 5 more days (I hope that helps you feel patient?!) because if you DID O on CD 26 then you want a healthy LP to follow.....so I wouldn't be too anxious for her to show up just yet! ;)

@ Claire - what is LP? Couldn't find that one on the acronym thread :-) I'm fine waiting a bit longer for it if it's coming. I'm more afraid of waiting months (& months potentially) for her. It would be nice to get her within a couple months of going off so I can regulate as soon as possible. I'm sure I'll get a heads up with AF symptoms.

@ Cheeky - its only been a bit over a month but it's hard to be patient isn't it?! :-) I'm not stressing yet which is good. I gained a lot of respect for my body, seeing a wacky chart then 4 really consistent days. I wish I went off BCP sooner (like shortly after the wedding) and just used FAM until we were ready.
