 I'll start!

This month has been particularly difficult for DH and I. We were supposed to start IUI in January, but when it came down to calling the nurse to call in my Clomid script, I just couldn't do it. Everything in my heart was telling me to just give it a few more months. I talked it over with hubby, and we decided to hold off for six more months, which would put us at June. I put away the thermometer and the OPKs with the intent to relax and just enjoy being married to my wonderful husband without worrying about TTC. And I have to say, it's been really nice!

Last week, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law announced that they are pregnant. It was a big shock as they've only been married a few months, but we are thrilled for them. But it's also a little difficult for us. I hate that it is, and that I can't seem to get excited about being an Aunt without my heart breaking a little bit in the process. I keep praying that that feeling will go away so I can be as excited as I should be (and as excited as everyone else on DH's side of the family is!), but it's still there. Does anyone have any tips on dealing?

Hellooooo! I've been missing all the check-ins and activity too!!

That sounds like a nice break to just relax and focus on yourselves, I have my FX that a little bit of relaxation does the trick for you guys ;) . And congrats on becoming an auntie!! I can understand how you are feeling though, and I think that is a very normal reaction. I keep imagining my sister telling me she's pregnant, and I think it would break my heart! I am sending tons of happy thoughts to you!!!

AFM...I finally made my doctors appt, got some bloodwork tested and have an answer about what has been going on!! It turns out I have hypothyroidism (normal TSH is 0.2-4 and mine was 19.46....eeep!) so I was started on Synthroid a week ago. I was told it would take a few weeks before I started noticing a difference but I have to say I'm noticing it already! Mostly in terms of my energy level, which was non-existant before...I would cook dinner and then need to nap afterwards, I was so tired, but that is gone! I'm starting to feel more and more like a funcitoning human being!

The downside to being newly diagnoside with hypothyroidism is that DH and I have decided that we should stop TTC until my TSH is back in a therapeutic range, and has been for some time. Uncontrolled hypothyroidism and pregnancy don't mix so I don't want to risk anything. We're thinking of waiting until about September/October now but we'll see what my 6 week blood work shows.

 Hi, girls!

@littlebit--I hope you and your DH are enjoying the break to focus on you two :) I hope it helps you relax, TTC is such an emotional, all consuming journey sometimes.

@alycia--I bet you are so thrilled to have an answer! So happy that you are already feeling a difference. I hope you continue to feel better.

AFM, still not pregnant. Friday, I had an appointment with the fertility doctor. He seems pretty positive that he found a fairly large polyp in my uterus. It is on the back wall, where a pregnancy would typically attach. So now, I have to have a HSG to confirm it is. Just waiting on my cycle to start so we can schedule it. If it is, I will have an outpatient procedure to get it removed.  Staying positive! I am so certain 2014 is our year.
