nm. answered my own question!

"So, the bottom line is that you need to figure that implantation will take place around 3-7 days after conception. Beyond that, implantation will occur between 6 and 12 days after ovulation. So, the very earliest after conception that you could take a pregnancy test would be 9 days; and, you may not have an accurate reading on a pregnancy test until as many as 19 days after conception."

if its 12 days after your first day of P, then i should have ovulated on 9/1,2,and3. But i dont know how i thought the 12th day was 9/8,9,and10. The days in my cycles have been way off so I have no idea if that was even accurate. so who knows.

I thought your always supposed to wait until your expecting your period/ missed? Too early can be false negative (like it happend to me) First response is 5 days before your 'missed' period- not 5 days before your period- a common misconception ;)

First response says that it can be positive up to 4 days before your period is supposed to start...but the accuracy rate that early is only about 70%, so 30% will get a false negative testing that early.  The accuracy rate goes up each day.
