how to decide?!

SO, I have been on yelp researching which infertility clinic to see, and I have narrowed it down to two which are about a 45 min drive from our current place.

option 1: 200 for the first apointment, great reviews, although none of them are specific about the dr I would be seeing (who is not at their main treatment center)

option 2: 275 for the first appointment, the locacation that I would go to has good reviews, but the other locations have really bad reviews, and since this one is a chain, im leaning against it!?

eeny meanie miney mo...? both were very pleasant over the phone, #1 answered right away, #2 put me on hold for a bit

I like option 1!  What about visiting each and getting a 'feel' for it - you really need to be comfortable in either one. . .see who has the most inviting staff and waiting area, etc.

I would go with option 1.

Especially if #2 is a chain, and only the one location got good reviews.  I went to a dentist office that was a chain (different from a re, I know, but worth comparing I think), and I always felt like it was to corporate-y, and that they were pushing patients thru like cattle, you know?  And with this particular chain, if a dentist or hygienist quit at one location, they could transfer people from other locations, so it could only be time before your one location was getting bad reviews too?

Maybe call and ask if you can get some references to talk to current or former patients. Or ask your obgyn for a recommendation.

You mean that they wouldn't let you just stop in and look at the waiting area?  I'm not saying to make an appointment or get a full tour, but drive by and scope it out.  You don't need to even tell them you're coming in my opinion.

I wouldn't go to any doctor before getting a feel for how clean and friendly their business is, and the same goes for FC's.  I'd be really leary of making an appointment without knowing how comfortable I'd be in the first place with their building and staff - which is a good indication of how well they are operating. . .make sense?

Sorry if I wasn't clear by what I meant :)

For what it's worth, two of my friends saw Dr. Westphal at Stanford University and thought she was amazing.

i would probably say #1.  But I agree that maybe your doctor can recommend someone.
