I feel like a terrible sister

Very few people know that DH and I are planning for a baby, only my sister knows we have the reversal scheduled. Both of my sisters have children, and my younger sister has spent the last 6 years not wanting any kids besides her little boy. And now, all of the sudden, they are trying and are being completely open about it. Every time I see a family member it is, "I am so excited for Sarah to have another baby!" Every time I get on Facebook I see posts about it from her and from other family members about it. I feel like a terrible person for how much this upsets me and how jealous I am over it.

I know that when the time comes everyone will be excited for us, and everyone will be shocked because they don't know it is even in the works. I just feel like she is somehow stealing my joy. It is so stupid to think that, but I cannot stop. I feel so stuck in the process of having a baby, we are at a stand still until the reversal in January (which is so close!!).

I need to get out of my funk, and I am having no luck.

I understand where you're coming from and am sending you *HUGS* Jess. I know what that feels like.

Jan is right around the corner and of course everyone plus all of us will be estatic when the time comes for your and DH. You are not a terrible sister. Try to think about on the plus side of things: you could potentially have children close in age - cousins growing up together and built in playmates! :)

You cannot lie to yourself about how you feel. Just go through the process... You will be excited soon enough for your sisters, just like they will feel for you, especially when you get that BFP after the reversal! It is OKAY to feel the way you do. Totally OKAY!!

Thank you ladies! You are like therapy for me--I feel terrible thinking these things, and I hate to say them, but it makes me feel better to get it off my chest.

Ditto the other two ladies... and I know exactly what you mean :) Everyone I know (or at least it feels like it) is getting pregnant... and I'm bugged about it all the time from everyone and people who don't even know me! That being said tho, it WILL be your time soon!! And it's completely 100% ok to feel how you feel :) I feel that way all the time too about people who aren't even related to me!

You're not a bad sister. I understand, I feel like everyone in the world-((even the ugly girls from HS-Mean I know--)) Is having a baby. Your time will come. Don't stress about it because then your body doesn't react well to it....so just try to chill and let all that excitement roll off.
