my RE said that some of the tests can be coded (billing codes) as general health, and not specifically for infertility....

My insurance DOES NOT cover Infertility PROCEDURES(IVF or IUIs)

It DOES cover all of our consult visits with the doctor and DIAGNOSTIC TESTING(Laproscopy, HSG, semen analysis, blood work etc.)

Any RE should be able to call and verify your insurance coverage and let you know what is covered and most of the time they know how to bill it so it gets paid :)

unfortunately, kaiser wont cover tests either, if its for infertility. aggrevating! IF the RE or GYNO orderd it and its not preventative, ill be billed fully. im gonna ask the dr about this when i go in for my check up, but first, i have to find one =)

i guess i'm lucky, mine covers infertility, including IVF up to $10K....however, $10K does not even come CLOSE to what IVF costs here.....about $25K

yikes, that adds up quickly. Just found out that my great aunt had endo sooo badly, she had to have a hysterectomy, and i know my grandmother had it ... took her 4 years to get pregnant with my mom and 7 years with my uncle. totally adding to my anxiety lol. well, were gonna start putting away $ for it, and lots of it!
