Introduction :)

Hi Ladies!

I feel like I am coming out of the closet here! I have been a long time lurker and a pw bride from years past. I created a new account because I did not want snooping family members to find me here. I am excited to be a more active member of this group. DH and I have been TTC for 6 cycles now giving it the ol' college try;) I am 29 and he is 33 and married for a little over a year.

I do have a question and I figured this would be the best place to come!

When I receive a positive OPK that indicates that I will start to O within 48 hours or so? Should we be BDing prior to a positive? If so how do we know when to start? Also how many days after a positive should we continue to BD?

TIA ladies!!!

Yes you will start to O or already at that point, DTD as much as possible when you get a positive. Before you get positive every other day is what most say . Good luck and welcome. I'm pretty new as well!!

Welcome!

You can a +OPK anywhere from the same day to 72 hours in advance of an O. Temping or a blood test are the only ways to confirm when the O occured, so if you aren't temping (it would be rare to get a blood test) then I would reommend BD every other day until a + then for 3-4 days after (on the rare occasion that you O a second egg it will usually happen the day after the first, so if for some reason the first egg was no good you will have a shot at the second - rare, but still worth a shot if you ask me ;))

Good Luck and let us know if you need anything!

Thank you ladies so much! That is just the clarification I have been looking for:) you read so much it all gets jumbled up. Sometimes you just need a buddie to lay it out for you! Excited to switch up our old routine and give this a-go! Thanks a bunch!
