Good morning ladies :)

So today I am 11dpo and after seeing a big temp rise this morning, I decided to take a PG test with my last dollar tree test. Nothing showed up within the time frame of a few minutes, so I tossed it in the trash can, went to eat breakfast and of course, went back to dig the test up just to see........There was definitely a light pink line there. :/

Has anyone gotten a pink evaporation line with the dollar tree tests?

I don't want to get my hopes up, so I am going to to say it is negative for right now and re-test in the morning with an early detection test I have..........

Well, you are NOT supposed to read a test after the 3 to 5 minutes because you could get a false +

Also I would not test until you are 14 days dpo because you may not have high concentrations and those cheap tests may not be as sensitive. I waited until I was 17 days DPO to get the PPT

Did you actually time yourself? 3 mins or even 5 is an awfully long time. You may have thought you had waited a few mins....?

No I didn't...I wasn't really expecting anything to show up. You are right Claire, I should have timed myself... It said not to look at the results after 10 minutes. I definitely threw the test away before that.  Just curious if anyone has had evaporations lines on the dollar tree test...or it could be a false + like IdoAgain said...I guess I won't really know until I re-test tomorrow morning...

I see the line, but I'm cautious like you are.  Claire makes a good point, too.  I'd invest in some new tests tonight and POAS the next few days if I were you :-)

It's funny, I hear quite a bit about the dollar store (dollar tree) tests, but in Canada you can't find those.  We have to splurge on "brand name" ones every time.

@athena: No dollar tree or 99cent stores in Canada? hehe. Well, the last time I was PG I used the cheap dollar test as my very first POAS attempt and I had no problems(even though it ended in MC)...The other tests are so expensive! but I do have one digital and a Rite Aid brand early detection test, which I will use tomorrow morning!

@ June ~ we have variations of dollar stores here, but never seen a test in one.  I'm glad they work!  I have heard good things about them, then you just spend the $ once on a digi to see "Pregnant".  Saves a lot of money!  Good luck & let us know how it goes :-)

Agree with the other ladies - I'd definitely test again tomorrow and make sure to look at the results in the alotted amount of time... I usually would just bring my cell phone in with me and do a few other things like get ready to pass those excruciatingly long 5 minutes - lol! Let us know...crossing my fingers!!!! :)

@Athena: That's so interesting! Well, the digitals are much better with reassurrance anyways. ;) I am over here going stir crazy!

@Murph: Yes! A dye run...that's what I was thinking because it's a bit over to the right. Are you talking about the site countdowntopregnancy? I love looking at other peoples tests! hehe. I don't have any other symptoms to note either....usually my bb's would be sore, as they are always a week before expected AF, but not this month. My chart always takes a dip on CD 24, which is today, with the exception of one time where it stayed put, so the spike today is very unusual. I am trying not to get my hopes up though..

@Jenny: Yes!! Next time I am bringing my timer with me! Silly of me not too this morning! I didn't think much of it! :)

...I will keep everyone posted! :) Thanks ladies!!

Hmm. I know when I tested (last year!) the pink line appeared very quickly -like immediately after the first line. That's not to say that yours isn't positive since I've heard of lines appearing after several minutes. Also, my big tipoff that I was preganant was the absence of symptoms. I always had sore boobs and would spot a few days before AF came, but I felt nothing... the only thing I had were blue veins on my boobs -very weird, they just appeared one day about a week before I got my bfp (at about 11dpo.) Fingers crossed for you!

Athena -they do have pregnancy tests at Dollarama, or at least they used to -I remember seeing them and thinking that pregnancy tests in a dollar store wouldn't be very reliable -that was before we were ttc and I would test every day for days before AF was supposed to arrive every month lol.

@ sheffner ~ I'll have to see if we even have a dollarama by us!  I don't pay much attention to the chains, since there are so many.

@ june ~ TCOYF says a second thermal shift can be a good PG indicator.  Test tomorrow and let us know :-)

My symptoms of a positive pregnancy test were:

Monday weigh in: 14 dpo AF expected on SundayPM/MondayAM I have consistently lost weight every week and this week I did not lose a single pound.

Weird thick icky stuff on knickers So I checked my cervix which is now closed!!!

Sore/tender nipples

Anyway if you have none of those symptoms it may just be another day or two before they start to show.

Hi Ladies!!

Just thought I would update....

BFN this morning! :/

My temp is still pretty high for being on CD 25! I should be expecting AF today, Saturday or latest, Sunday.......I have never had a cycle that lasted longer than 27 days...at this point, my temperature should be A LOT lower. Like I had mentioned, I usually always see a decline starting at CD 24, with the exception of one time where it stayed put. Who knows....another day I'll have to patiently wait!

Anyhow, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and happy Friday!!! :)
