Probiotics ... ?

Did you know a separate probiotic (preferably a more "potent" one that has to be stored in the fridge) is recommended as part of the prenatal vitamin routine?

I just switched from a synthetic prenatal to a natural one (so much pricier!), and it is supposed to be taken 3 times a day, as opposed to mainstream ones that are once a day.  I read that taking a good probiotic is also good, because yogurt and such just isn't enough.  Apparently probiotics will help baby develop a healthy gut and brain.

I inquired for travel purposes, and there are shelf-stable probiotics you can buy, but it is recommended that once you're back home you go back to the refrigerated ones.  My refrigerated probiotic is twice a day.  It sounds like a lot of pill popping to remember, but it already is feeling quite routine.

Hi!  Sorry for the delay - we headed out of town.  A couple places I read about this are:

About 2/3 down the page probiotics are discussed.  I like her blog because she is a holistic nutritionist, but not very "out there" which appeals to me.
