Dear, dear husband
I'm getting frustrated with the little things. Actually, it's because we never see one another and I take my frustration out on smaller triggers. Anyway.
We received some nice bakeware when we were married. Nice, sturdy, reliable stuff. Nothing crazy fancy, beacuse we can't have nice things, and here's why.
He will use the cookie sheet, pizza pan, and occasionally my cake pans if the others aren't clean to cook his hotdogs, chicken tenders, etc in the oven. Which is fine, except now it all looks like hell. There's cuts in the pans, which are starting to rust. Spots of food that don't scrub off anymore because when he uses them he just leaves them on the stove. I get that you can't wash it immediately, but really? It's bad enough he can't take care of these things but when I get mad about it he just says, "They all look like that!" No, not true! I don't know how he grew up, but my mom has pans that are still in great condition after 10+ years! Then again, his parents barely take care of their stuff too. (Okay, his mom doesn't at all, but his dad is more like me.)
I don't even know how to make it stop! I tell him not to cut on the pans with a knife or pizza roller, and he just says "well, how else am I suppsed to cut it?" I dunno, move it? Get a spatula and move it onto something that CAN be cut on. I just don't feel like going through good stuff annually.
And that's why we can't have nice things!!
