Beef Brisket in the Crock Pot?

Girls.. GIVE ME SOME TIPS.. RECIPES, ANYTHING! :)

I bought a beef brisket (my absolute favorite dinner) and I'm so afraid I'm going to destroy this meal...

I'm still learning how to cook...

I have a handful of meals down pact but... Still have a lot of room to learn! :)

So teach me, Wifeys in the Kitchen!

I love beef brisket!

3 pounds beef brisket

1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes (I don't like the Italian kind for this recipe)

1 envelope onion soup mix

4 mini bell peppers (One of each color, green, yellow, orange, red) Chopped into strips

2 cups water

6-8 ginger snaps

salt and pepper -- to taste

Pour everything on top of the brisket into the crock pot and then add the cookies into the liquid. (DO NOT put them on top of the meat, they will burn) Cook on low 6-8 hours and DON'T PEAK.

Take out the meat and slice it up. Return it to the crockpot and cover the meat with liquid and cook it for another 1-2 hours on high. Watch it so it doesn't burn since for some reason mine either does burn a little or it doesn't quite cook enough (maybe I need a new crock pot)

I serve this over brown or white rice. ;-)

Does that help?

You can marinade it in the same pot (minus the cookies) in the fridge for however long you want. :-)
