Crock Pot or Slow Cooker??

Hello!! I am sort of new to this group, but have been lurking for while. I just LOVE all the recipes on here, especially the crock pot ones. I am about to add one of these babies to our gift registry, but needed your advice on which one to get.

So my questions are:

1-What is the difference between a Slow Cooker or Crock Pot?

2-Which one would you recommend I get?

3-What brand and size do you have or recommend?

Thanks ladies!!

1. there really isnt a defference. crockpot is a trademark so other "crockpots" have to call theirs slowcookers, but they are functionally the same =)

2. I'm currently trying out different ones. I Dont recommend the cuisinart one, it cooks too hot, and the lock and go seems to be over rated. ill let you knwo when i find one i love!

3. 6qt is good for us, i can make more for leftovers if I want, but its a good size

On a side note, I have a crockpot that you can set the temp for High 8 High 4 or Low 4 Low 6 hours and once it hits that time it will flip over to warm so you dont have to worry about it over cooking! :) I LOVE IT!!!
