EASY Pork Tenderloin

DH and I are trying to limit our red meat intake so we've been focusing on chicken and pork a lot lately.


I made a breaded pork tenderloin a few weeks ago but it was just too salty...


The other night, I did a simple tenderloin dish and it was absolutely delicious!  (And this is coming from a beginner still!)


I put the pork tenderloin (maybe 2 pounds?) in a baking dish.  Then I seasoned it with garlic salt and lemon pepper salt and pepper.  (I didn't measure)


Then in a sauce pan I took a stick and a half of butter (I used "I can't believe it's not butter) and wait till it's melted.  Then I threw in a couple splashes of vanilla extract in the butter once it was all melted.  I then poured it over the pork tenderloin.  (I also threw in slices of red potatoes (not peeled) around the tenderloin and had them sitting in this sauce)


Put it in the oven at 350.


Cook for about an hour to an hour in a half.


I checked it a few times once it was at the hour mark with a thermometer.  Pork Tenderloin should reach 150-160 before serving.

omg.....i've been CRAVING a good 'ol breaded pork tenderloin sandwich from Iowa!!  (or IL!)  they are just not anywhere here in SOCAL!  too much heathy eating! :)

Well when I made it breaded, I screwed it up! LOL!


This recipe is *not* breaded and probably pretty healthy and it's not bland...  It has a lot of flavors :)  YAY me! :) LOL!
