Freezing cupcakes

i had a question about this has anyone here made a large amount of cupcakes and froze them? how do you store them in the freezer? and how long is ok to keep them there? Frosted or not?

I haven't but I would say definitely unfrosted...and to freeze them on a tray first, (so they are not touching) then once they are frozen solid, you could put them in big ziploc bags...and you'll want to take them out of the bags to thaw as well...

I've frozen them icing and all!  If they're in a tray to keep them separated its fine, I just wouldn't do it longer than a month.  If you want them stored for a long time I'd wrap then in saran wrap, then tin foil, then properly defrost them.
