HELP: First Dinner in Our New Townhouse!

As some of you may know FI and I are currently living with FMIL, FBIL, and FSIL because they were having financial and marital issues and they thought that we'd be able to ease the strain of it all. Well it's time for us to move out finally... whooo hoo. We're going to be moving on May 1st and we're having dinner with my family that night but I really wanted to make FI a special dinner the following night.

Do you girls have any suggestions? I really want to go all out so that we can celebrate being on our own again and starting out lives together!

Yayyyyy!!! Congrats on your new place!

Anything Italian is pretty easy!

How about chicken parmesan? You can make some bread sticks and pasta, a side salad and something for dessert.

Or lasagna?....

Does he have a favorite?  If so, I'd make that.

He really eats just about everything with the exception of seafood. He won't even try it... not even a little bit.

I was thinking about grilling him a ginormous steak and making loaded mash potatoes with his favorite... cheese covered broccoli!!!! But I thought that would be too plain!

Hmm... I'm still thinking about it.

He really does love my lasagna... and my meatloaf... hmmmm!

I think steak is always good for a guy.  We grilled out steaks the night we got engaged.  :)

Do a three course meal!

Start with cheese and brocoli soup

Follow up with steak and potatoes and a good double reduced winesauce

end with . A dessert buffet.....
