MIL coming into town!!

Yep, MIL is coming into town on June 29th and staying with us for about 4 days before going to BIL's house.

I need recipes for dinner!! I usually make the same old stuff for me and DH, so I need some failsafe recipes for somewhat healthy, not too intricate dinners.

Help!

put J on the grill, and whip up some easy sides....

and look for stuff that you can throw in the crockpot in the morning...that way you will have dinner ready at the end of the day!

What about that sausage/spinach soup?  Oh wait...you said Jas didn't love it.  Picky mid West eater!! :)  Hmmm....do you like salmon?  I do a salmon with a mustard/maple syrup glaze in the oven.  Simple and fast.  And I agree with Jackie...maybe take some chicken breasts or another meat and marinate in a zip lock all day.  Then have Jason plop them on the grill.  You can grill zucchini/asparagus with it too (we've been grilling meats and veggies a LOT lately).  If you want a starch too, just cut up some red potatoes, toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and roast in the oven while the other stuff is grilling?  Do you have a panini press?  We love a meal of paninis with chips and either a green salad or fruit salad.  We usually put turkey, cheese, a pesto or sundried tomato spread, and grilled onions (for Dave) on our paninis.  And those pizzas you guys made for me and Dave were good....those would be fairly easy right?

Oh.....and there's always the option of leaving MIL with Jason and coming over to our house for an escape!! ;-)

We like to cut up potatoes and put them in foil packets on the grill....spray inside foil with Pam first...we just do butter, black pepper, and garlic salt....and super easy clean-up!
