MY 1st POT ROAST!

thanks ladies for all your helpful tips a few weeks back.

Here is how I made mine =)

Ingredients:

  • Pot Roast

  • garlic cloves

  • white wine

  • onion mix (2 packets)

  • 1 c water

  • bell peppers

  • red potatoes

  • baby carrots

I diced a few garlic cloves and slit about 5-7 slits on each side of the roast and stuffed them with chunks of garlic cloves. Then I dumped my first packet of onion mix in the bottom of the slow cooker, placed my meat on top and sprinkled the last package of onion mix on top of the meat. Next, I poured the white wine to only cover about half of the meat. Next, I added about a cup of water to dilute the wine just a bit. I turned it on low for about 8 hours and headed off to work.

When I got home I decided to work on my carrots and potatoes, but since the roast had been cooking for quit sometime now, I decided to cheat a bit on this step. I threw them into a pot of hot water to cook a little faster.

While that was heating up I wanted to work on my veggies. I wanted bell peppers to marinate in my gravy. There is nothing better than a punch of bell pepper in any sauce. mmmm. So I picked 3 with the most color and flavor.

I decided to chop them in small cubic inches.

I immediately tossed them in the slow cooker.

A few minutes later I turned to my carrots and potatoes. I like my veggies to still be a little crispy so to test the crispiness, I took a fork and stabbed a potatoe. If it went through with a little force and slipped off with ease that means it's at it's perfect consistency!

Time to toss it into the cooker!

I covered it, turned it on high and cooked it for about another 24 minutes.

After the 24 minutes, I took out my roast and started to slice it. It was beautiful. It just fell apart. ahhh, just the way I like it.
