need healthy recipe ideas for BBQ/Picnic!
every summer, DH and i put together a BBQ/picnic at our favorite park on my birthday. we usually go all out because we love to cook, but this year i want to make sure i have some healthy items on the menu.
so far, we have the standard items for the grill - burgers and hot dogs. we're also planning to do some skirt steaks and as well as some small salmon filets in foil packets. DH is also thinking about doing ribs.
does anyone have any good chicken recipes for the grill? preferably using boneless chicken breast to make things easier?
as for salads, i usually do a black bean salad (black beans, corn, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, lime juice and cilantro), a simple pasta salad and a potato salad. i might skip the potato salad this year because i would like to try a new/different salad recipe.
does anyone have any good salad recipes that are good to bring to a picnic?
or suggestions for grilled veggies?
