restrauant on a weeknight?

I dont think weve ever gone out to eat on a weeknight, but dhs bday falls on a thursday. So if your dhs bd falls on a thursday is that the night you go out to dinner? Im worried about weeknight dinner, not sure why? lol maybe i think itll be slower so the quality will be less? from our personal experience, when the place is busier, it doesnt seeem like the food was heated in the microwave lol. July is a busy bday month for us, his bday is thursday, so his parents want to take him out and its my grandpas bday, so we have to fit in dinner with him at some point....

Usually if one of our birthdays falls on a weekday, we go out on a weekend just because we're TIRED during the week.  And on a weekend, we can have cocktails or wine and not have to get up in the morning! :)  But for non-birthday occasions, I absolutely have gone to dinner during the week...with DH or with girlfriends.  I've never noticed that the service is lacking....sometimes it's better because you aren't endlessly searching for your server.  And it's not as noisy! :)

We go out to eat all the time during the week! I actually prefer it. I feel like I get better service and I've never had any complaints about the food quality.

thursdays are actually DH's "fridays" since his work week is saturday night through wednesday night, so we're actually more likely to go out on a thursday night than on a saturday night. i actually prefer it and agree that you're likely to get better service when it's a slow night!

hmmm, maybe its just the rest. in downtown thats horrible when its slow lol. Seriously our food is luke warm and almost taste like it was last nights leftovers. There is only one place, a mexican food place downtown, we love it but only go during peak hours. Everything else is with the flow of traffic, and kinda a pain. thanks for the feedback ladies!!

We always go out on our actual birthdays, weeknight or weekend.  And I have yet to see a difference in quality.  Try it!

I never noticed the quality difference on weeknights or weekends.  If anything, the service could be better when the waitstaff isn't swamped.  I also think Thursday nights are almost as busy as weekend nights.

Hmmm, maybe it's just this one particular restaraunt we have issues with?! That's for all the input :)

Coming from an ex-server, we always considered Thursdays weekend nights anyway.  Pretty much just as many people go out on Thursday as they do Friday or Saturday.  Your wait time should be less, but the quality and service should be just as good if not better.
