i've never made scones or ever thought i could. i decided to try because i'm planning a tea party for my coworkers in early june & wanted to try out some afternoon tea recipes. i stumbled across alton brown's recipe - it is soooooo yummy, esp fresh outta the oven so i had to share!
except is whipping cream the same as regular "cream" as in the recipe? either way, that's what i used it's still yummy!!! buttery, light and perfectly sweet! (totally not the dense scone i thought it would turn out to be at all!)
i used odd shaped cookie cutters for the scones...oops! but makes it more interesting!
