Venison Crock Pot Recipe

I made a roast last night because DH's coworker gave him a ton of meat.  I haven't eaten it since I was a kid and was looking for a really good recipe online to take away the 'gamey' taste.  It came out extremely well and tasted like a really tender beef roast.

3-4lb roast

1 large apple (cored & quartered)

2 small onions (cut in rings)

4 cloves of garlic (crushed)

1 tbsp of olive oil

Rub olive oil inside the crock pot and put the roast inside.  Put in apple pieces, garlic and onion. I also sprinkled with salt & pepper.  I put on low for about 7hours.

When roast is done, discard the apples and add 1 cup of boiling water and 1 cup of beef broth to make a gravy if you wish...we didn't use this...we used steak sauce.

I will definitely make this again and the apple was the key to making this roast a little sweeter as venison can be overpowering sometimes. ;)
