The Bouquet Holder
To start, I got the "brooch" from my earring actually. They were too big, but by taking out this huge middle section and reattaching the other two pieces together, I now have smaller earring AND a coordinateing Bouquet Holder.
This is super easy
1 six inch piece of 1" PVC pipe (my daddy cut it for me)
Roll of ribbon in your color
Roll of coordinateing ribbon for accent
Brooch, buttons, etc
Hot glue gun
First, take your PVC and your primary ribbon. Put a dot of hot glue on the end of the ribbon and attach to the pipe. It's important that you start it about half on, so that there is enough to fold over the edges later. Wrap your ribbon around the pipe tightly until you can repeat the glueing step at the other end
next, run your hot glue around the top edge of the pipe that's showing. Wait a second for it to cool a bit, then press the ribbon firmly around the glue so that it folds over and covers the pipe. Repeat for both sides.
Then, decide how you want to accent your holder. I cut two small pieces of coordinateing ribbon and glued them to the center of the holder (forgot to take a picture!)
After you place the ribbon, put a large amount of glue in the center of your brooch and press firmly on to the holder. Hold it still until the glue cools and everything is sitting well.
(It's sideways, but you get the idea)
You're done! I'll be using daisy's from the super market and sticking them in there along with some beading and feathers and I have an entire DIY bouquet!
