2010 Wedding Ceremony Music Trends

Wedding Ceremony Music Trends 2010

It's the moment you've been waiting for - you and your bridal party making a grand entrance and walking down the aisle. But what will you choose for your wedding ceremony music?

Music has the power to set a mood, evoke emotion, and give a moment cohesiveness. Are you a traditional Wagner's "Here Comes the Bride" and Pachelbel's "Canon in D" type of couple? Or are you more contemporary, looking for a song that captures your spirit like "Viva La Vida"?

In 2009, the Vitamin String Quartet, inspired many of our Chicago brides to choose creative new music to reflect their own personal style. Clocks, Bittersweet Symphony were both popular choices for the bride's processional and recessional. Songs like "I'm Yours, "Under the Bridge" and groups including Everlong, U2 and Metallica were also new requests.

For 2010, more brides are choosing to program a combination of both pop and traditional music for their wedding ceremony. Here are a few favorites for 2010

  • At Last, Etta James

  • All You Need is Love

  • I Miss You

  • Viva La Vida
