Summer is coming!  Yes, it's true!  (In Florida, it's almost already here!)

And for us way down south, orange is always in.  If you're having a DW here in the Sunshine State, have orange inspiration in your wedding, or just love some citrus-infused cocktails, here are a few ideas for you!

Campari & Orange Cocktails (via Williams-Sonoma)

Ingredients:

  • Crushed ice as needed

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice

  • 1/4 cup Campari

  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur

  • 1/4 cup vodka or gin

  • 4 orange slices

Directions:

Put 4 double old-fashioned glasses or other short, stocky glasses in the freezer to chill for at least 15 minutes.

Just before serving, fill a cocktail shaker half full with crushed ice. Pour in half each of the orange juice, Campari, Grand Marnier and vodka. Cover with the lid and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds. Strain into 2 of the chilled glasses. Repeat with the remaining cocktail ingredients and glasses to make 2 more drinks. Garnish each glass with an orange slice and serve immediately. Serves 4.

Blood Orange Basil Mojito

A traditional mojito is made with mint. Basil is in the mint family and is the perfect complement to the bolder flavour of blood oranges.

3 torn fresh basil leaves

1 tsp sugar

1 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice

1 1/2 oz light rum

2 oz soda water

Garnish: fresh basil leaf

Add basil, sugar and 12 oz blood orange juice into glass. Muddle the mixture. Add remaining blood orange juice, rum and top with soda water and ice. Garnish with a basil leaf.
