I just love the candy buffet trend for celebrations.  It is another way of showing your guests you truly care, and has the added advantage of providing those midnight munchies for the long night of dancing.  One of the best ways to spruce up a candy buffet is by injecting personal touches.  You can have really great glass containers, but a buffet truly needs some personality.

You can really use any round self-adhesive favor tag or a round piece of paper.   I chose chocolate and ivory because the colors of my buffet are chocolate, gold and ivory.  I chose a Garnter’s label because it had a template and I wanted the lettering to be uniform.   I also chose Gartners because Michaels sells them, and I always have a 50% off coupon.

To make your own…..Go to the Gartner Studios website and download the template.  Type the names of the candy in each label.  I used Lucida Calligraphy font sized 12.   I also found it is better to put letters in a BOLD format.   It helps make the color stand out more.   Print out your labels.

Using standard sized chocolate colored scrapbook paper.  Draw 20 circles with a 2 ¼ diameter.  I used a drinking glass.  A standard piece of scrap book paper will yield 20 circles.

Use scalloped edged scissors to cut out each circle.  You can also use another other patterned scissors you favor.

Center each ivory label in the center of each scalloped circle.  Using your hot glue gun, glue the craft stick on the back of the chocolate label.  Tie a ribbon around the top.  Simple!  Good luck.
